How to Prevent Chicken Infectious Rhinitis?

May. 14, 2018

Infectious rhinitis is an acute respiratory infection of chickens caused by Haemophilus influenzae. It is characterized by inflammation of the nose and sinuses, sneezing, and swelling of the face.

Chicken is the main host of Haemophilus, and chickens of all ages can be infected, but the susceptibility of chickens older than 4 weeks is enhanced. Breeding chickens, laying hens are most susceptible to infection, the disease occurs mostly in adult chickens. Tylosin Tartrate is a useful medicine for chicken infectious rhinitis.

Chronic chickens and contaminated chickens after recovery are the main source of infection. The disease is mainly infected by contaminated feed and drinking water through the digestive tract. Poor ventilation, high ammonia concentrations, excessive stocking density, malnutrition, and sudden changes in climate can increase the severity of the disease. Mixed infection with other poultry diseases such as mycoplasmosis, infectious bronchitis, infectious laryngotracheitis and other diseases can increase the course of the disease and increase mortality. Diverse polyculture of chickens at different ages also often leads to an outbreak of this disease. Remember to use Tylosin Tartrate Chicken Infectious Rhinitis if this happen.
