Some Notes On Using Tilmicosin

1. Tilmicosin Injection

It should be used with caution in animals other than cattle, and cattle cannot be used for intravenous injection. Aged 20 months cows or older cannot be used to avoid residual milk. Meat yak, yak below 1-month-old or fully fed yak cannot be used. Avoid skin contact, which can cause irritation and allergies. Pregnancy and breeding animals the safety of use has not been determined. The yak period of cattle and ruminants was 28 days before slaughter. Studies have indicated that if lactating cows are administered by breast infusion, the period of abandonment should be at least 82 days.

2. Tilmicosin Premix

The pig's feed must not contain soap clay. Pigs using tilmicosin premixes can be slaughtered at least 7 days after the last use of the drug.

3.  Tilmicosin Drinking Agent

Laying hens are banned. Pigs using the tilmicosin drinker can be slaughtered at least 7 days after the last use of the drug. The chicken can be slaughtered after 10 days.

In addition, attention should be paid to the interaction between tilmicosin and other drugs. The use of tilmicosin in pigs with epinephrine causes an increase in pig mortality and should be avoided.
