Mar. 09, 2019

Here is Veterinary Ivermectin Injection manufacturer talking about What Is Haemophilus Parasuis.

If you have any idea about Ivermectin Premix, welcome to contact us and discuss.

Haemophilus parasuis Gracies are caused by a bacterium called Haemophilus parasuis (Hps). This bacterium is ubiquitous in the environment and can be found in all parts of the world, even in healthy pigs. For pigs that use no specific pathogen (SPF) or early-weaning weaning (MEW) techniques without Haemophilus parasuis contamination, the initial infection with this bacterium can be quite severe.

This pathogen is endemic in most herds. Sows provide strong maternal immunity to newborn piglets at birth, and maternal antibodies in piglets can usually be maintained for 8 to 12 weeks of age. Therefore, this pathogen has little or no effect on the piglets in the weaning stage. With the decrease of maternal antibody levels, piglets are still protected to some extent by maternal antibodies, and subclinical infections will occur, and the piglet's own immune response will be activated, thus ensuring that the disease will not be avoided in the future. However, if the piglet is infected with the pathogen after the maternal antibody has completely disappeared, serious illness will occur. This usually occurs at some time after weaning.

This bacterium also acts as a secondary pathogen with a mixture of other major pathogens, especially the local porcine pneumonia Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (EP). Sometimes suckling piglets can also develop the disease, especially in piglets from young sows with lower levels of immunity.

The pathogen attacks the joint surface, mesentery, lungs, heart, and brain, causing pneumonia, pericardial infection, peritonitis and pleurisy. Spread through the respiratory system.

treatment

Haemophilus parasuis is sensitive to many antibiotics, including amoxicillin, ampicillin, oxytetracycline, sulfonamides, penicillin, and ceftiofur.

Treatment must be taken as soon as possible, especially when meningitis cases occur.

Continuous treatment for 2 to 3 days.

Master the onset of this disease, the long-acting penicillin was injected 3-4 days ago.

During the susceptibility period, amoxicillin or penicillin V was administered in drinking water for 4 to 5 days.

At the same time, Albendazole And Ivermectin Oral Suspension can be offered for you.  Looking forward to receiving your inquiry.
