Oxytetracycline and Lidocaine Injection
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
By intramuscular injection.
Cattle, sheep, goats and pigs: 10-20mg/kg body weight.
ADVERSE REACTION
Tetracyclines may cause renal tubular necrosis at high doses, but this is rare with recommended doses. Tetracyclines can affect bone and teeth formation in young animals. Hepatoxicity may occur at high doses in susceptible individuals. Oxytetracycline administration to horses has been associated with colic and diarrhea.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
Do not use for liver and kidney dysfunction animals.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat: 28 days; Milk: 7 days
