DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

ADVERSE REACTION

The administration of antimicrobials, including sulfadiazine and trimethoprim, to horses under conditions of stress may be associated with acute diarrhea that can be fatal. Sulfonamides should be used with caution in horses with impaired hepatic function. Although rare.
